Full Stack Engineer | Musician | Cat Dad
Hi, I'm Zac Stryker, a full stack engineer and business intelligence developer based in Utrecht, Netherlands. I specialize in building data-driven applications that transform complex business challenges into elegant, automated solutions.
I develop custom web applications, automated workflows, and data visualization solutions that empower teams to make better decisions. Whether it's migrating legacy systems to the cloud, building interactive dashboards, or optimizing SQL queries, I focus on creating tools that are both powerful and user-friendly.
Coming from a unique background studying music theory and composition in college, I strive to bring a creative and analytical approach to every project. My work sits at the intersection of software engineering, data analytics, and user experience design.
I believe the best technology is invisible. My goal is to create solutions that feel intuitive and natural to users, removing complexity in favor of eloquence.
Technology evolves rapidly, and so do I. I'm constantly exploring new tools, frameworks, and methodologies to stay at the forefront of my field.
Technical expertise means nothing without the ability to explain it. I prioritize transparent communication and comprehensive documentation in every project.
I love exploring cutting-edge solutions, but I always ground my work in practical business value and measurable outcomes.
My path into technology wasn't traditional. It began with a student job in the College of Music's computer lab. There I discovered a passion for technology, learning how it could be used to solve problems of ever-growing complexity.
During my time in technical support at Aderant, I learned the intricacies of technical support, databases, and client communication. This foundation proved invaluable as I transitioned into development roles.
Working with the Florida Department of Health during the pandemic and the Defense Health Agency showed me the power of data visualization to drive critical decision-making. I developed expertise in Tableau, QlikView, and Power BI while handling sensitive healthcare data.
Currently at Day Pitney LLP, I'm building custom financial applications using C#/.NET and modern cloud technologies. I'm developing new tools that streamline accounting and auditing workflows while migrating legacy systems to modern platforms.
Whether you're looking for a collaborator, a freelance dev, have a project in mind, or just want to chat about technology and data, I'd love to hear from you.
